I Buy NEO is our region’s premier online local business directory dedicated to educating residents of Northeast Ohio on the importance of buying from local, independently owned businesses and the local economic impact it has on our region.
With over 13,000 local business listings to choose from, I Buy NEO helps consumers find locally owned businesses that meet their shopping and service needs. This resource empowers residents to make conscious purchasing decisions with the knowledge that minor changes in their spending habits can make a major impact on the region.
I would like to enroll my business on www.ibuyneo.com. How can I do that?
The I Buy NEO directory is free to COSE members and all other business owners that are an active member of their local chamber of commerce or community development organization.
Simply visit www.ibuyneo.com and click on “enroll your business” and you will be directed to complete a brief form. Then you will be sent a membership ID and password that will allow you to enroll your business.
Does the I Buy NEO community card program still exist?
We recently surveyed and interviewed our current I Buy NEO partners, and determined that the role of COSE is better served to promote and educate the residents of Northeast Ohio on the importance of buying from locally owned, independent businesses.
It was determined that COSE need not administer an incentive program to encourage local buying but rather to spend our dollars on educating the public and promoting the I Buy NEO online directory.
Consumers who have an I Buy NEO community card will no longer be able to accumulate cash rebates on your purchases for you and your designated non-profit organization. All existing rebates due to you on prior purchases will be honored.
I am an I Buy NEO card accepting merchant, can I still reward my customers for shopping with me?
Yes, in fact, we encourage you to post special offers and incentives on the I Buy NEO directory for all of your customers.
Please refrain from swiping I Buy NEO Community Cards on your credit card terminal. The back-end reporting system no longer exists in the program, rendering the swiping process meaningless.
We urge merchants to continue to reward consumers for buying local by offering them a point-of-sale discount if they present the I Buy NEO Community Card.
